How do I know if I am eligible to participate?
If you are a Nebraska licensed or state approved childcare provider and want to improve your childcare business you are eligible to participate.
What will I receive?
You will receive cash reimbursements each month for healthy meals served.
Won't I just pay more money in taxes at the end of the year?
Yes, you will pay a little more in taxes, but that money can be taken from your reimbursements – with money left over. You will also have access to many tax tips and money saving ideas throughout the year.
Why choose a food program sponsor based in Beatrice?
CNS has a great staff based in the Beatrice area. Our rent and overhead are far less expensive than it would be in Lincoln or Omaha which allows us to spend more money on materials and resources for our providers. CNS providers receive a calendar record keeper every year, cookbooks and home study materials.
But I can't drive to Beatrice.
You don’t need to. CNS Staff will come to your home. Claims can be submitted by mail, email, picture text or submit online. Library materials are emailed, mailed or delivered to your home when we are in the area. Spring workshops are offered at numerous locations throughout southeast Nebraska.
Isn't Child Nutrition Services just a small sponsor?
CNS has made a decision to remain small – less than 200 homes. Our goal is to provide quality service to each provider. You won’t be a number with us!
